On the august 29 of 2014, Quimialmel has firmed with Solvay Portugal, the purchase of their liquid sodium silicate activity, an essential raw material for various industries.
Since September 1 of 2014, Quimialmel got the factory and equipment of liquid sodium silicate being the sole producer of this product in Portugal. Liquid sodium silicate is used for many industrial aplications, such as, the ceramics, detergent, mechanical engineering, foundry, water treatment, adhesives, and others, being the main target of Quimialmel the covering of another kind of aplications less developed.
Besides the liquid sodium silicate is Quimialmel purpose the manufacturing / development of new products and particularly the liquid potassium silicate. This product is also used in various industrial areas like the liquid sodium silicate.
